FLU Alumni Association
From At-Risk to At-Promise™ · Education · Mentorship · Service · Community Impact
“FLUites, now, more than ever, our students need the involvement of our alumni.”
Our mission
To support and further the ideals and interests of the Future Leaders United Program through varied programs by regional and local chapters under the direction of the United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc.
Our vision
Empower alumni one program at a time.
Our history
The FLU Alumni Association was founded in 2019 to support scholars as they transition beyond high school. Graduates organized an alumni board, adopted a constitution, and elected officers to create an ongoing support network.
Today the association helps alumni stay in touch with the program and one another through community service, networking, and social activities. Alumni also support current FLU students through direct mentorship and leadership development.
Alumni in action
Alumni have continued to higher education, military service, workforce training, and careers. They return as mentors and help students build confidence, relationships, and plans for the future.
FLU alumni have studied at institutions including Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, Bethune-Cookman University, Florida A&M University, Florida State University, Rollins College, Valencia College, the University of North Florida, the University of the Virgin Islands, the University of Central Florida, and the University of South Florida.
